Essential Oils and the Human Auric Fields
Essential Oils and the Human Auric Fields
Having worked with essential oils in the therapeutic practice for so many years, and seen how they can effect the human aura, it was a great pleasure to watch their dynamic, interactions through Polycontrast Interface Photograph (PIP). invented by Harry Oldfield, joint author of The Dark Side of the Brain.
As well as taking images of the energy field of the essential oils on the end of a smelling strip, a few of which are shown elsewhere in these pages, we watched the essential oils interacting with the head, or hand and warm, or whole body.
The energy of the essential oil radiates outward from the drop of that oil, touching upon the human aura and enlivening it.
The colour photographs reproduced in this book show the effect when a drop of essential oil is placed in the palm of the hand, and the auric field is seen to be far more vibrant, colourful and wider, than in the control situation when the subject is photographed with no essential oil.
Essential oils are a way of connecting cosmic energy to us. Plants take the energy of the sun and transform it, through photosynthesis, into the food-energy upon which all animals rely.
Essential oils are the concentrated form of that sun-energy, and are, as can be seen from their auric pictures, highly energetic.
Their vibrations can, by close association and harmonic vibration, transfer to us the ultimate source of that energy: cosmic power.
Using essential oils in the auric field brings into it a new energy. The colours of the aura become brighter and clearer, while a shift in the density of the aura, and the energy above the chakras, can be felt.
If the vibration of a person is low for any reason, such as a depressed mental state or ill-health, the essential oils can stir or agitate the auric field, stimulating it to reorganize itself into a state of harmony.
>
The simple way to look at this is to say it 'lifts' the spirit, by raising the vibration. But it is not essential oil itself that causes the lift in spirits because the human organism does that for itself.
What the essential oils do is, as it were, clear the auric quagmire in which we may have got stuck, allowing us freedom to shift our perspective, change our spiritual position, and move on to a higher state of being.
You know when sometimes a TV screen is out of sync, and the colours are not all in the right location, and there's a shadow around the images? By adjusting the aerial, we bring the images back into sync: locked together in the proper position so a coherent whole results.
Essential oils seem to have the same effect on the human aura 'bodies', bringing them into sync, locked together in a harmonious whole. harmonized in this way, we are more able to get in touch with our higher selves, our spiritual core, the source of our strength.

The Subtle Bodies - 2
The Subtle Bodies - 2
The first thing you'll see is little grey or see-through wiggly bits, which are on the surface of the eye and are probably some kind of dust. Then, going beyond them, some people see a watery effect, as if watching water running downwards in a wave pattern on a piece of glass.
Going beyond that, you begin to see small dancing flashes of light that seem to flicker on and off, but which can be followed and seen to be individualized particles continuing in a vitalized course. These globules appear like gold or silver, which may be the light reflecting off them, and some have very light translucent colours.
They an be seen even from an aircraft window, and at that altitude they appear to be larger and clearer. Once you have seen light globules it becomes much easier to understand that the atmosphere is full of energy and actually quite dense.
If you spray essential oils into the air, the light globules are attracted to the aroma molecules and combine with them. To try this yourself, don't use the usual spray/misting method which involves water, but use instead a small perfume sprayer and pure undiluted essential oils.
Watching the attraction of aroma molecules and dancing light is an interesting experience and makes me wonder what relationship they have. There is certainly a great deal yet to learn.
Intriguingly, The French National Centre for Space Studies, have carried out research, which shows, according to Annick Le Guerer in Scent, ' that aromatic molecules are one of the basic components of the interstellar space in which new stars are constantly being formed. This interstellar "atmosphere" or gas is also the almost -direct source of the atoms of which we ourselves, along with the earth and other planets are made.'
To Feel Your Own Aura
First, with both hands opposite each other, move the hands quickly in a repeated chopping movement, with one hand going down while the other goes up (body therapists know this movement as 'hacking'), about four inches apart, in the air in front of you. The run a hand up your arm, about three inches away. It will be easier now to feel the electrical pull.
To See Your Own Aura
Carry out the chopping movement as above, then place a hand over a piece of white or light-coloured paper. In the right light, you may be able to see your aura as a thin layer of light. When we connect with things, as when picking them up, the aura of the body extends to enfold the object, so the white light will be seen not only around the fingers, but also the pen or whatever has been brought into the field.
You can play with this energy field, moving the object slowly and watching the auric field enlarge and soften as it drags behind. I've watched this interaction with the human energy field using leaves, flowers and, of course, essential oils. This phenomenon raises all kinds of questions, but it may explain why some people 'get along' with some machines and some don't.: perhaps the electromagnetic energy field of people differs enough to have different effects on machines.
Perhaps too, it goes some way towards explaining how psycho-metrists work. These are sensitives or clairvoyants who can hold a piece of jewellery or an object belong to another person and 'read' it, by relating the emotions and experiences of the person it belongs to. They may be tapping into the energy field which still lingers from the owner - a field which, if it can store information, must be rather 'intelligent'.
Aura Fluffing
Agitating the aura makes it become clearer and lighter. This is a kind of auric maintenance, as if dusting it off. The movement is a fluffing or flapping of the hands, moving them vigorously in the area five or six inches above the surface of the body. Aura fluffing may have been what some ancient traditions did when 'working' in this area; such as when native Americans fan or wave a feather in the auric field, as part of the smoke rituals, including the use of smudge sticks; or when African shamans wave a bunch of herbs or rattle near the body of the person.
One interesting aspect of aura fluffing is that it van reveal 'referred pain syndrome@ - when pain appears in one part of the body although it has its source in another. If the aura is fluffed, for example, around an area of burning pain in the shoulder and neck, that pain may relocate (or appear to relocate) as a contraction in a muscle under the scapula, the shoulder blade. When the true original site of any problem can be located a more accurate treatment can be applies to it. Aura fluffing dissipates the density of it briefly, allowing it to rebalance itself, cleansed and energized.

The Subtle Bodies
The Subtle Bodies
Theosophical literature states that there are three bodies aside from the physical . They are presented here not as fact, but as a sounding-board or framework we can use to think more deeply about the subject of multi-dimensional bodies.
The Etheric Body or 'The Body of Light
It is the blueprint upon which the physical body is built: the densest of the subtle bodies
It is a field of energy that exists within the same space as the physical body, and interpenetrates it.
The field is composed of many threads of energy, with light and force; the body of light.
It vitalizes the physical body. As in a web, it connects us to all parts of the universe; it connects us to higher realms.
It has three-fold action: it receives energy; it assimilates energy; it transmits energy.
The threads of energy criss-cross through our etheric body and energy centres or chakras occur where many lines cross. There are thought to be seven main ones - five along the line of the spine and two in the head - plus many minor chakras.
The Astral Body or 'Emotional Body'
There are seven sub-planes of astral matter which, in different proportions and density, form a parallel world to the physical which it interpenetrates; each type of physical matter attracts astral matter of the same density.
It is composed of very fine substance, with colours and constantly moving
>
It is where the feelings, emotions and passions are expressed; and acts as a bridge between the physical brain and the mind.
When a person dies, their consciousness withdraws into the astral body, and continues its journey on the astral plane. An alive person can' leave their body' temporarily, and go astral travelling'.
The aura is the manifestation of the astral body, and extends from the surface of the physical body to various degrees, from a few inches to feet, yards or further. The aura can be seen as colour, and felt.
The Mental Body
It is an ovoid mist which encloses all the other bodies, and has very fine colours.
It interacts strongly with astral matter.
It is very much affected by everything in our environment.
A person controls the fineness or the density of their mental body by the quality of their thoughts; spiritual thoughts produce higher vibrations.
Auras are an aspect of our natural selves, and of the natural world. There is nothing weird or magical about them. Some people can see and feel them and some can't; this has less to do with any special powers or perception than with our desire to experience them, and our application to that goal. There then are some ways to expand your vision and sense of touch.
The first exercise involves trying to see a phenomenon Wilhelm Reich, Austrian psychoanalyst, called 'orgone dots', and theosophical literature calls 'vitality globules' One of the best descriptions came from Jirij Moskvitin in Essay of the Origin of Thought where he talked about brilliant sparks of dancing light, describing them as having tiny 'tails'. These light particles dart through the atmosphere in all directions, and the easiest way to see them is in daylight against a light blue sky.
To see them, another way of looking is required, rather as with 'magic eye' pictures which appear at first like a disorganized but repetitive pattern of colour. To see these, the eyes are crossed, or made to focus differently, but to see the shimmering light particles, you need to get beyond normal vision, not by going-crossed eye, but instead by focusing in the distance, as if you were lokking for a spaceship in the far blue yonder.

Archbishop of San Francisco performs exorcism ceremony at site of vandalized Saint Junipero Serra statue
Armed with holy water and Latin prayers, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone performed the ritual to "drive out evil and defend the image of Serra," the Los Angeles Times reports. As Cordileone explained to the crowd of 150 who'd assembled for the ceremony, "the experts in the field tell me that Latin tends to be more effective against the devil because he doesn't like the language of the church."
For those whose Latin was a little rusty, a translation of the proceedings was provided, and included prayers calling for Satan's "proud head" to be "crushed." "Be gone, Satan, inventor and master of all fallacy, enemy of the salvation of men. Place yourself before Jesus Christ," Cordileone ordered.
As the San Francisco Chronicle notes, despite the popular representation in The Exorcist, exorcisms are "more commonly a solemn ceremony like Saturday's, a religious ritual to evict the devil or evil spirits from an area or person."
Meanwhile, in the more earthly sphere, five people have been arrested on vandalism charges for knocking over the statue on Monday, which was both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day. Critics say Serra, a Spanish missionary priest, was a "brutal colonialist" who helped "to erase and destroy" the culture of native Californians, Vox writes. Cordileone defended Serra in the Saturday ceremony, saying the missions were "not to dominate and annihilate" but to save native Californians "from domination and annihilation" with the teachings of Catholicism.
The statue will be repaired, according to a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
